The Precista Italian was originally launched in 2005 and to celebrate its 20th anniversary we are releasing a range of Limited Editions featuring the iconic Unitas 6498-1 and 6497-1 hand wound Swiss movements.
Available in 4 very limited variations with different sub-dial configurations and levels of movement decoration all of which are displayed via the sapphire case back.
2025 also sees a milestone anniversary for the 6498 and 6497 movements as they celebrate 75 years of their exceptional status in the watchmaking industry. An in-depth look at their history, impact and some of the high quality watches they have graced since 1950 can be found here.
All movements are New Old Stock and have been fully serviced and regulated.
Precista Italian Lépine LS: Small running seconds sub dial at 9 - This variant takes its name from the modern term for watches where the sub dial is positioned across from the crown at 9 O'Clock. This configuration is a characteristic of the Unitas 6497-1 and comes fully decorated with heat-blued screws and Geneva striped main plate.
Precista Italian Savonette LS: Small running seconds sub dial at 6 - As with the Lépine the Savonette variant takes its name from the position of the sub dial which is at the 6 O'clock position. This configuration is a characteristic of the Unitas 6498-1 and comes fully decorated with heat-blued screws and Geneva striped main plate.
Precista Italian Savonette LE: Same configuration as the LS with a sub dial at 6 O'clock but without a fully decorated movement. The main plate is patterned.
Precista Italian Savonette L: Also with the sub dial at 6 O'clock but with a plain finished main plate.
Lépine: Small Running seconds sub dial at 9.
Savonette: Small Running seconds sub dial at 6.
