SOLD OUT & DISCONTINUED
The Smiths Everest Silver Jubilee Limited Edition was manufactured to celebrate 25 years of selling watches on the internet. It was a numbered limited edition of 500 pieces and will not be available again now these have been sold.
The main changes from the regular Smiths Everest were the beautiful aventurine dial and the high quality jubilee bracelet.
Aventurine is made of glass that’s been infused with flakes of metal while still in its molten state. This produces a sparkly appearance known as "aventurescence." The inclusions can also impart a distinct, and often beautiful, colour to the material. According to legend, it came about in the 17th Century in Murano, Venice when a glassmaker accidentally dropped metal shavings into molten glass, giving the glass an ever-changing shimmer.
Depending on how the light strikes the dial, it can appear to be anything from black to royal blue and produces a glittering effect when moved.
