Hello,
Firstly, I'd like to apologise for the lack of updates over the past couple of months.
As many of you will already know, Eddie sadly passed away at the end of May after a long battle with several health issues. Since then, there has been a great deal to deal with, both personally and professionally.
I want to sincerely thank everyone who has been in touch or shared messages about Eddie over the past few weeks. Reading your stories—many of them funny, all of them heartfelt—about your experiences with Eddie over the last three decades has been an enormous comfort. The appreciation so many of you have shown for him, and for the impact he had on the microbrand watch community, has made me and the rest of our family incredibly proud of everything he achieved.
An Introduction
My name is Dave, and I'm Eddie's nephew.
I've been working full-time alongside Eddie at Time Factors since 2020. Before that, I spent countless hours in the office learning from him—usually through enthusiastic conversations about every aspect of running a watch company, along with the many projects he always had in development.
Over the past few years, as Eddie's health declined, I gradually took over many of the day-to-day responsibilities within the business and have been involved in every area of its operation.
Although Eddie's passing came sooner than any of us expected, we had made plans to ensure that Time Factors could continue.
Many of our most popular models have already been commissioned for production, and several exciting new projects are well underway at various stages of development.
My immediate priority is to continue what Eddie built while also improving the overall ordering experience as soon as possible. I hope you'll understand that there will inevitably be a period of transition as we move forward.
Re-opening the Store
We are currently planning to re-open the store on Sunday, 23rd August at 14:00 (UK time). We'll confirm this date a couple of weeks beforehand.
This will be a general store opening, and Everest models and new releases will not be available at this time.
There will, however, be plenty of stock available, including the Commander 71, Trans-global Aventurine, Traveller, Royal Navy Diver, W.W.W. (White Dial), Navigator (White Dial), and many other models.
Before the end of the year, we expect to release a selection of Everest models, including the Black Dial, White Dial, Expedition, Honeycomb, and Gilt Dial versions.
Looking ahead to the new year, we also plan to have the Smiths Military PRS-29A/AM, Navigator, and W.W.W. available again, alongside the new Precista 18Q and Smiths PRS-40, both featuring ETA HAQ movements.
Finally, thank you once again for all the support, patience, and kind words you've shown over the past couple of months. It has meant a great deal to both me and my family, and we're incredibly grateful.
I look forward to continuing Eddie's legacy and sharing the next chapter of Time Factors with you.
Take care,
Dave
