The elusive Precista Royal Navy Diver
Towards the end of the 1970s the British MOD stopped issuing Rolex Submariner (MilSub) watches to Royal Navy Divers due to cost, with CWC being initially awarded the contract in 1980.
In 1982 the contract was awarded to Precista who, although more widely known for supplying the G-10 & W-10 for military service, produced a specialised Diver that was only in service for one year in very limited numbers.
An original 1982 Precista -

It became the last mechanical watch issued to Royal Navy Divers and one of the most sought after military watches by collectors.
Original issue Precista Royal Navy Diver mechanical watches from 1982 can command sums nearing £20,000 due to their scarcity.
Our PRS-82 modern re-edition features the original asymmetrical case design and unique “snake-head” hands with modern upgrades including a Swiss Sellita SW-200 Movement, stainless steel bracelet with security lock and a lume filled ceramic bezel.
